Fendi presents an exhibition of the iconic Baguette bag in partnership with local artisans, one for each region, across Italy. to celebrate the Italian handcrafts.
The Baguette was designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997 and has been reinterpreting by these talented artisans through new materials and refiniments in 5-10 pieces for each limited edition to be sell.
I appreciated the limited edition coming from:
1. Lombardia: Bertoloni Valigeria transforming the Baguette into a miniature trunk in an emerald green precious agate-polished croco;
2. Sicily: Platimiro Fiiorenza specialized in the art of setting red coral (a local art existed from the 12 century) has realized a unique facade of red coral elements using the "retro incasso" technique with soft leather sides;
3. Sardegna: Su Marmuri womne's cooperative has created a black and white diagonal stripe with FF logo pattern weaved on the inside in "pibiones" weaving.
